Committees

Our committees are an opportunity for you to focus on a particular area that our organization is involved in. They exclusively deal with one particular issue and one goal. Not everyone feels comfortable talking to people on the street or working directly with students , so the committees are a great way to pick the part of the organization that is right up your alley.

Finance Committee
This committee manages the organizations finances. If you are not afraid of budgets, balance sheets, and tax returns, this is the right place for you.  

Fundraising Committee

This committee is responsible for organizing and coordinating our annual benefit concerts, theatre parties and any additional fundraisers needed to support short-term projects to support students and schools.

Parent Leadership Development Committee

This committee provides one-on-one mentoring, workshops and  forums to help train parent leaders and parents who wish to develop and/or strenghten their leadership and advocacy skills.

Public Relations Committee
This committee helps make the organization better known. It puts together posters and fliers and keeps in close contact with the local press.

Quality Review Committee

This committee does quarterely reviews to ensure that activities and services provided by SFRN and organizations within our network are providing services that are making a difference in the lives of

students and schools. This committee will also provide an annual report and make recommendations for our Annual Fabulous Friends Celebration. 

Volunteer One Committee

This committee encourages community members to make a committment to help with at least 1 activity or service a year to support the District and Citywide parent councils, events sponsored by SRFN and fellow Youth Development Organizations.
